Author Guidelines


  1. The systematics of writing includes at least the Introduction, Review of Literature and Hypothesis Development (for qualitative research, only literature review), Research Methods, Results and Analysis, Conclusions, and Bibliography. Thank You / Award (if any) placed after the Conclusion and before the Bibliography.
  2. Articles typed with 12-point letters with a row distance of two on A4 paper, except for direct quotations that are categorised in a one-row distance and with indented style.
  3. The upper, lower, left and right sides are at least 2.5 cm.
  4. Articles are written as efficiently as possible according to needs, with lengths of materials ranging from 25-30 pages.
  5. All pages, including references and attachments, must be numbered on a page.

Systematics of Article Writing

  1. Abstract consists of 100-200 words in English and Indonesian. The abstract provides a summary of the purpose of the article, method, and review of the report. Abstract followed by keywords (keywords) consists of 3-5 words to facilitate the preparation of index articles.
  2. Introduction, contains the research background, research objectives, and research contributions.
  3. Review of Literature and Hypothesis Development contains previous literature related to the research and development of hypotheses.
  4. Research Method, contains research design or research design, research goals and targets (population and sample), data collection techniques, research models, and analysis techniques.
  5. Research Results and Discussion, contains the results of data analysis, testing hypotheses, answering research questions, findings and interpreting findings.
  6. Conclusions, present research conclusions, research limitations, and suggestions for further research.
  7. The bibliography contains the sources referenced in article writing.

Tables and Images (Graphs)

  1. Tables and images presented as efficiently as possible (only those that present results) and included in the manuscript. The tables and images displayed in the appendix are those that show the data processing.
  2. Tables and images numbered and full titles indicate the contents of the table or illustration.
  3. References to tables or drawings are given to the text.
  4. The author mentions the parts in the text, where the tables or images included.
  5. Tables or images should be interpreted without having to refer to the text.
  6. Table and Image sources must include.
  7. Images must be prepared in a printable form.


Quotations in the text are written between open parentheses and closed parentheses which state the author's last name, a year without commas, and page numbers if deemed necessary.

  1. One source of quotes with one author: (Syafruddin 2001); with two authors: (Habbe and Hartono 2000); more than three authors: (Budiono et al. 1999); more than one source of quotes with different authors: (Mardiyah 2001; Kusumawati 1999); more than one source of quotes with the same author: (Djakman 1998, 2000).
  2. If the quote is accompanied by the page number: (Brownell 1981, 845).
  3. If in reference there are writers with more than one article in the same year, then the quotation uses letters a, b, ... after year. Examples: (Joni 1999a, 1999b) or (Joni 1999a, Daud 2000b).
  4. If the author's name is mentioned in the text, then the name does not need to be mentioned in the quote. Example: "Alamsyah (1998) states ..."
  5. Sources of quotations originating from the work of an institution should mention the acronym of the institution in question for example, (IAI 1994).


Each article must contain a bibliography (only the source of the quote) which is arranged alphabetically according to the author's last name or institution's name. Example:

Footnotes are used only to provide additional explanations/ analyses, which when combined into a script will disrupt the continuity of the text. Thus notes are not used for reference. Footnotes must be numbered printed in superscript. The text of the footnote is placed directly on the page with a superscript number.

Policy on Plagiarism

Each writer submitting an article to Jurnal Manajemen Motivasi must make a statement stating that the text is free of plagiarism and not being considered and published in another journal.

Reproduction Policy

The Management Department of Economics Faculty Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak copyrights the article published on the Jurnal Manajemen Motivasi. For educational purposes, the contents of the Jurnal Manajemen Motivasi can be copied or reproduced while mentioning the source of the material. Written requests must be submitted to the Editor to obtain permission to print the contents of Jurnal Manajemen Motivasi for other purposes besides educational purposes.

Policy for Data Availability

Consistent with the purpose of Jurnal Manajemen Motivasi, the article writer is expected to be able to provide the data he has to those who need it and provide information on how to obtain the data. If the article uses a survey or experimental approach, then all instruments (questionnaires, cases, interview plans, etc.) must be attached.

Article Submission

Articles are sent in softcopy (without the identity of the author) and are equipped with a brief CV of the author and research instruments (questionnaire, interview results, etc.). Articles are sent through the Jurnal Manajemen Motivasi website: by selecting the Submission menu and will be processed using the Open Journal System (OJS) application.
