Abstract


This research aims to know the relationship between the perception of students toward teaching and social support of teachers with the learning achievements of students of Class XI IPS MAN 2 Pontianak that add up to 107 students. The hypothesis put forward was a positive relationship exists between the perceptions of students towards teaching and social support of teachers with the learning achievements, and there is a positive relationship between students perceptions towards teaching with learning achievement of students as well as there is a connection positive social support among teachers with the learning achievements of students. Data collection tools used in the study in the form of scale perception towards teaching students social support scale, teachers, and the learning achievement data. Data analysis methods used by engineering two predictors of regression analysis. The results showed that there is a very significant relationship between variable perception of students toward teaching and social support of teachers with the learning achievements of students of Class XI IPS MAN 2 Pontianak. The relationship is indicated by the value of the correlation coefficient R = 0.490 with probability (p) = 0.000 (p < 0.01) and the effective contribution of 24%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the better the studentsperception towards teaching as well as the higher social support given by teachers so students learning achievements will be the better.
